Set against a photographic backdrop of a real estate proposal to develop the port city of Gwadar in Baluchistan, the installation seeing eye to eye presents a cesspool of geopolitics. The competing desires of China, Pakistan, India and the United States to exploit the region of Baluchistan are interspersed with a memorial to the late Baluchi nationalist leader Karima Mehrab, who died mysteriously in 2020. The performance will inhabit the time-space of a 2012 hearing before the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs on the human rights abuses in Baluchistan: a 65 minute document activated by two performers as a strategy of counteraction.

Programs are open to all, on a first-come first-served basis. RSVPs are not required, but appreciated, as they help us anticipate attendance numbers.
