“How do fields of human endeavor and creativity intersect in unexpected ways to yield entirely new ways of thinking?”
Explore our ongoing projects using art as a springboard for conversation about our world.

Artist Collaborations
The Block Museum is committed to fostering new projects with artists—art that is collaborative, process-based, participatory, and involves people as the medium or material of the work. These projects, which typically take place beyond the museum’s walls, often address personal or collective histories and current social and political issues.
Thinking about History with The Block's Collection – Our 40th Anniversary Initiative
2020 marks the 40th anniversary of The Block Museum of Art. Join as for projects, programs, and stories that use the museum's collection as as springboard for thinking about history.
