On Friday, May 23, from 11 AM-4 PM (exact time TBC), Block Cinema will host a free "Eco-friendly Processing with Black & White Film" workshop at the Watershed Art and Ecology space in Pilsen, led by filmmaker Greta Snider. This workshop will be offered to 10 participants; we will have a waiting list for 6 additional prospective attendees should space become available.
To register, please complete the short application below by midnight on Tuesday, May 6. We will contact participants by Friday, May 9.
• Practice photographing each other creatively
• Learn or review the use of analogue still cameras by shooting your own photos
• Develop your black & white negative film using formulas and fixers made from minimally manufactured, low environmental impact developers
• Experiment with materials that define a location’s geographic stamp
• Take away a bibliography of individuals, orgs, processes, and resources to continue
Free workshop; all materials included. Lunch will be provided.

About the workshop lead:
Greta Snider is a San Francisco filmmaker who works with recycled film, reclaimed materials, and eco-friendly processing methods. Her films are distributed by Canyon Cinema and online; she teaches experimental cinema at San Francisco State University.
