Chicago's Picasso At 50: A Celebration of Public Sculpture

The Block Leadership Circle will hosted a lively evening celebrating public sculpture and the 50th Anniversary of Chicago's iconic Picasso. Over 75 members joined us for Chicago-centric treats, followed by a conversation with Patricia Stratton, NU Alumna and author of The Chicago Picasso: A Point of Departure. The evening concluded with a walking tour of the Block Museum's newly renovated sculpture garden.


Northwestern Community Picnic 2017

The Block welcomed families at Northwestern's Community Picnic, offering art activities, free food and entertainment for the whole family.


Imagine U Block Party

Following 2016 successful inaugural Block Party, Imagine U returned to the Arts Circle with a fun-filled day of outdoor family activities, music, and games. Fairy costumes encouraged!  The Block hosted animation screenings, "Set the Stage" an artist created participatory outdoor play area, a coloring station, and sculpture garden tours.



Campus Art Walk

Reinstalled in 2017, 16 sculptures constitute a permanent public display maintained by the Block Museum of Art. Situated in proximity to the museum on Northwestern University’s Evanston campus, with landscaping and placement designed by architect John Vinci, access to these artworks is free and open to all. Our summer interns lead  lunchtime tours that kicked off in the Block Museum Lobby.
