He was the director of Radio Krakow from 1947 until 1950, when he moved to Tel Aviv and became the director of the State Music Library there. In 1957, he settled in Vienna, where he composed many of his most notable works while working for Universal Editions until 1968. From 1973 on, he was a professor of composition at the Vienna Academy of Music and died relatively recently, in 1994. 2 of 4
