Adult Programs

The Block Museum offers adults and university-level students with a host of scholarly and innovative programs to enhance the Museum experience. As part of Northwestern University, the Museum is dedicated to providing our audience with the highest quality programming spanning a range of topics and ideas bringing in historians, professors, artists, and curators from around the world. Additionally, the museum offers studio-based art programs to encourage individual creativity and develop fundamental art-creation skills.

Tours

Block Musuem docents lead free guided tours of the exhibitions Robert Motherwell: An Attitude Toward Reality, From the Collection of the Walker Art Center and Henry Moore: Elephant Skull Saturdays and Sundays at 2 pm from September 26 to December 6.

Tours for groups of 8 or more people can be scheduled at other times (information on tours and programs for school classes can be found here). Tour requests should be made at least 4 weeks in advance. Please e-mail requests to blockeducation@northwestern.edu. Please include the following information in your e-mail:

  • Name of your group or organization
  • Number of people in your group
  • Type of tour you are requesting (docent-led or self-guided)
  • Three prefered dates and times for tour (available during the Museum's public hours)
  • Any special needs or considerations for your group
