Over 2,000 works from our permanent collection are available for viewing online. Each record includes the following information: artist's name, title of the work, artist's nationality, date of the work, medium, and accession number. In addition, many of our prints are searchable by topics geared toward periods of time and subjects.
You may search for specific works in the collection by entering as many or few characteristics as desired in the form at the left and hitting the search button at the bottom of the form.
You may also browse the collection by clicking on any of the categories shown in the field labels in the form at the left. Clicking on artist's name, for example will provide a list of artists in the collection. Clicking on any of the artists will provide a list of that artist's works.
The thumbnail lists of your search results will be alphabetically listed by artist's name, except for searches done by title, where the titles are listed alphabetically. The total number of works found by your search is displayed in the upper right hand corner of the thumbnail page. Each page lists only 10 thumbnail images; additional results can be found by selecting the next set of works or previous set of works buttons at the bottom of the page.
Clicking on the thumbnail image of a work or the title of the work will lead you to a full-size image of that work. To return to the thumbnail results, click the back button.
There are a number of additional cross-reference links available to make your searching easier. Clicking on the artist's name will lead you to the complete listing of that artist's works. Similarily, clicking on the topic of any work in the results screen (the full-size image) will bring you to a list of other images in the same topic.
